Course Overview


Throughout history LGBTQ+ community members have played an important role in society. From Langston Hughes with his poems to Jazz Jennings with her groundbreaking stance to live her life her way from an early age, LGBTQ+ people have been all around us. Unfortunately throughout history many of these LGBTQ+ narratives were suppressed. Come join us for 8 weeks in an accurate and inclusive American Queer History 1 course and learn who these people were, the important time frames of the LGBTQ+ rights movement, and who is leading our future!  

Course Information



Age Range:

14-18



Class Meeting Dates and Times:

September 1 - October 20, 2022

This class will meet on Thursdays at 1:30pm EST ( 12:30pmCST, 11:30pm MST, 10:30 PST).  This class will be approximately 1 hour long. 



Supply List:


A zoom Account (free).

All written materials needed will be sent to students before the class period for which they are required. There will also be a supply list available for any crafts that may be suggested as optional activities to be completed outside of class.
