This is a lab and lecture/discussion class. It meets 1x/week every 3 weeks - on week 4 every 4 weeks, students will work on a project. The lab portion of the class will include pre-recorded instructions. All class materials will be included in the class.

Middle School Chemistry Lab Class

This is a lab and lecture/discussion class. It meets 1x/week every 3 weeks – on week 4 every 4 weeks, students will work on a project. During the 3-week sessions there is a live lecture/discussion session (this will be taped for students who miss a session). There will be an accompanying lab matched with that week’s topic. Every 4th week that students work on a project. These can be completely self-directed or scaffolded and guided, as needed and desired by the student.

The lab portion of the class will include pre-recorded instructions. The All written course materials will be included with the class. You are responsible for your own lab supplies.

In addition to the regular meetings, there will be a meeting with parents/guardians before the course starts & each student will meet privately with me during weeks 2-3 to develop their customized rubric for the course & to discuss possible project topics.
