Climate literacy should be an essential part of every child's learning. It is important and deeply pertinent to their life and the health of the planet. This project-based class has students investigate the science while they look at what they can do to make a difference. An important goal for this class is that students feel and how worked to be the change they want in the world. Students create their own personal action plans, write letters to policymakers, and create their own educational outreach materials. In addition to the science, history, current events, geography, and language arts will be woven throughout this course. Students will also work on the important skills of evaluating resources and writing lab reports.
Dates: August 17-October 19
